Ah, baby hair – a unique magnet for porridge, yoghurt and spinach, I’ve found. And the minute it develops from a velvety fuzz to proper strands, the body wash you’d been multi-tasking with might not cut it cleansing such a deluge at the end of the day. I’ve been trying the satisfyingly large bottle of Philip Kingsley’s PK Baby Shampoo & Body Wash – I love his products for grown-ups (Elasticizer is an all-time favourite of mine), and so imagined his baby shampoo would be better than most. And I was right (of course). Emie has very fine hair, and yet with this shampoo she’s working a dazzling shine, believe it or not. It’s also happily free from the kind of ingredients I generally avoid – parabens, SLS and SLES – and although it is scented, it hasn’t once upset her skin, scalp or little eyes. I’m still obsessed with L’Occitane’s baby wash for the face and body, but this is great for cry-free hair-washing. And check out that pump dispenser – a PBG essential – bravo, PK.
